I use VMWare Workstation and some PDFs are not working

Modified on Sat, 24 Feb at 10:45 AM

Within virtual machine environments like VMWare Workstation, certain PDFs may encounter errors when you attempt to add a stamp or print them. This issue typically arises from the image format within the PDF not being decoded as anticipated. To resolve this, enabling hardware acceleration for your virtual machine is necessary.

Here the procedure:

  1. Select the virtual machine and select VM > Settings.
  2. On the Hardware tab, select Display.
  3. Select Accelerate 3D graphics.
  4. Configure the virtual machine to use only one monitor.
  5. Click OK to save your changes.
  6. Power on the virtual machine and install the required DirectX End Runtime version.
  7. This download is available from the Microsoft Download Center.
  8. Install and run your 3D applications.
