Installation error on Windows Server 2012

Symptoms

The installer stops with this message:

Target requirements check failed: - Installation condition VersionNT >= 1000 failed The application cannot be installed on this system.

Cause

The latest versions of Automatic Email Manager no longer support Windows Server 2012 (or Windows 8.1 and earlier). Microsoft has ended support for this system and for .NET 7. Automatic Email Manager now uses the latest Microsoft technologies (.NET 9, 10, 11...), which require Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016 or later.

Solutions

Option 1: Keep using version 9.10

Automatic Email Manager 9.10 keeps working on Windows Server 2012, and you can use it for as long as you need. See the version history for the differences with newer versions.

Option 2: Upgrade your system (recommended)

Move Automatic Email Manager to a supported system, such as Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Server 2016 or later. Newer versions get the latest features and security updates.

Option 3: Ask us about Windows Server 2012

If you must run the latest version on Windows Server 2012, contact us and tell us about your setup.
